The 2-hour module teaches the student how to measure a short pulse laser and its repetition rate as well as evaluate the limiting parameters and potential measurements artifacts. The 3-hour module provides students with an overview of laser diode noise analysis and coherence measurements.

Detection of light is one of the most important tasks in photonics application and research. To follow laser safety regulations, all kits are classified as either Laser Class 1M or Class 3R. A guide is provided along with each of the kits to detail safety processes, set-up instructions, and course-related questions.
