An SOA amplifier driven in CW mode is a smart alternative to classical EDFAs (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers). When driven in pulsed mode with our high end electronics, it can be compared with AOMs, EOMs or direct laser diode fiber modulators. It is the only solution meeting all the constraints for a reliable, stable and efficient fiber-coupled intensity amplification and modulation.
